Dogs

Bear
May 1989 -
August 2000
We only had Bear for a short 11 years, but he brought us such joy. Sometimes I think he thought he was human. He would eat anything we were eating, like grapes, orange salad, etc., anything but ketchup because I never ate it so he didn't like it either. Bear had epilepsy and we had to give him meds that really slowed him down, but if we didn't give it to him he would have seizures. Toward the end the meds weren't even helping him anymore.  So we did what was best for him and put him to sleep.  Sleep well boy dog and chase the other dogs and play with all the other special dogs in doggie heaven.
I miss and love you.  Mommy

April 10, 2000
Your time with us was too short, but the love you gave is never-ending. We will miss you dearly, our big girl walks, our rides, our fights over the bed and the ways you rested your head. We will never forget you, your wolf like attitude, your Nikki-nuggets and the way you guarded your favorite fluffies. Mommy and daddy will miss you very much. You will always remain in our hearts and our thoughts. You are and will always be my best friend. Everyone loved you so much. You will always be Mommy's baby. Love you always, Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Tara, Michael, Mariah And everyone else who's life Nikki touched.

Matzah Ball
departed Mar. 2, 1992

Our Matzah, who loved M & M’s, cookies, chicken, raisins, and us...
Our Matzah, always there when we sang the Blessing over the Bread, waiting patiently for his bread...
Our Matzah, who would jump and leap for joy to greet us...
Our Matzah, whom if Eve or Miriam were sad, would follow them, and be there to love them even when the whole world seemed against them...
Our Matzah, who gobbled up M & M’s to the very end…then peacefully lay his head down, and fell into a deep deep sleep, listening to his Mommy tell him how much he was loved…
Our Precious Matzah, who will forever live in our hearts.

Willie
1992 - 2002

Our Dearest Willie,
Ten, all too short, years ago I looked into your eyes and knew you were the one. You pranced across the floor and soon your other mommy fell under your spell. The first year and half you exhausted three trainers, demolished numerous decorations, terrified countless bell ringers; in short you were a juvenile delinquent. However your two mommies persisted and the payoff was beyond imagination! Each day was an adventure, we never knew what tricks you were going to teach us! Thank you for being kind enough to allow us, ever so foolishly, to actually believe we were in control.

We know you left your home and our arms for a far better place. You are now eternally young and healthy, you can eat whatever you want and not get sick, and you have met your canine family. Your love, devotion, protection, and heart you gave freely and endlessly. We miss you desperately. You will forever be in our hearts, our manny man and silly Willie.
Until we see you again,
Your 2 Mommies
